The soundtrack for the incredible animated film contained only four new Beatle songs. The album was padded with George Martin's score which was not of great interest to fans of rock music. Though perfectly good compositions, the four new tracks were not what people had come to expect of a new Beatles' album. A four track EP release had been considered by the Beatles and perhaps it would have been better had they stuck with that thought.
