All of Julian's hits are here, and most of the significant
album tracks including 'Saltwater' and 'Photograph Smile.' This is
a well thought-out collection of Julian's music. In it we can see
Julian's confidence grow, his lyrics become liberated and the man
himself develop. Spanning a period in which Julian reconciled himself
with his heritage and took charge of his future, we can hear the music
just gets better and better. Julian's story, incisively told on Behind
The Music, was considered the most interesting of the 80's, and in
the decade that followed Julian produced his best work.
