Despite this being the Beatles' fifth album,
the band still deemed it necessary to record cover versions. At least
'Dizzy Miss Lizzie' gives John the opportunity to let loose with some
full-on rock & roll. John's contribution to the original material
was a third greater than Paul's on this occasion. Amongst his songs
were the Dylan influenced 'You've Got to Hide Your Love Away,' 'Ticket
to Ride' and John's cry for help as spelt out in the title track.
