John reported that it was Paul who came up with the album title. Rubber Soul brought a whole new audience to Beatles music. Hitherto, some people paid little attention to their music and thought of it as pop music for teenagers. In Rubber Soul adults of all ages discerned a new sophistication. What they were hearing was the transition from 50's Rock 'n' Roll to the more sophisticated 60's Rock.
