Imagine created a certain amount of controversy owing to John's criticism of Paul McCartney in the song How Do You Sleep? The album included a photograph of John with a pig, a response to the cover of Paul's album Ram, released four months earlier showing Paul with a sheep. Imagine topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
