Best Performance by a Vocal Group 'A Hard Day's Night'

On April 19, 1964 The Beatles received two Grammy Awards: Best Vocal
Performance by a Group and Best New Artist. Peter Sellers presented The
Beatles with the awards. The Beatles collected a total of thirteen Grammy
Awards. John received two posthumous awards - in 1982 for album of the
year, Double Fantasy (with Yoko) and in 1991 he was awarded a Lifetime
Achievement Grammy.
Recording of A Hard Days Night began on March 1, 1964 and filming
of the movie began the following day. On July 6 The Beatles attended the
London premiere of their first movie. The album and the single were released
in the UK on July 10 and both reached number one in the charts. Three
days later the single was released in the US, reached the No.1spot and
spent 13 weeks in the Billboard chart.
