John Lennon's ankh

The Ankh is an Egyptian symbol of eternal life. John had no interest in organised religion, but was deeply interested in spiritual matters. He expressed the view that death was: "like stepping out of one car and into another." On a visit to Egypt he said: "It's fantastic. It's amazing. I've been here before."
