Relationship: Uncle of John Lennon
1914 - 1991
Norman was Aunt Harrie's second
husband. Norman and Harrie brought up John's half sisters, Julia
and Jacqui, when their mother
was killed. The task of explaining Julia's
death to her two daughters fell to Norman.
In later years John Lennon
saw to it that his half-sisters were secure in a fully paid for
home they shared with Norman and Harrie and their children.
After serving as a Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps in Burma
during W.W.II, Norman owned various garages in the Wolton/Speake
area of Liverpool.
